About ZAPro3 (for Beave and anyone else)
After getting everything together I boot it up and NOTHING. No error beeps, no video, zilch. But it does seem to be accessing my CDrom and my hardrive for I added new elements to the motherboard, making sure that everything was securely placed and rebooting the computer successfully after each installation.

Cannot convert FAT to NTFS
2) I could not boot from either the boot.img or ofonlyboot.img from people.debian.org/~luther/di/, I tried altering the images to work with miboot and also booting them through open-firmware but no success. If I knew how the ofonlyboot.img was intended to be launched through openfirmware I might have more success.

But during the GA OS/2 install, these letters will NOT be assigned by FDISK, and you WILL get the warning about "no primary partition" which you can ignore. UNTIL YOU'RE READY TO MAKE THE UPGRADE, DON'T DELETE THE PLACEHOLDER PARTITIONS OR ELSE YOU'LL HAVE DRIVE LETTER PROBLEMS AND OS/2 WILL NOT BOOT.

!!!Nothing found searching for text "VSCE41B" Hmm, it wouldn't work for mine, either-- until I removed the quotes. Apparently they shouldn't be used, unless there is a space (& possibly other special characters) involved. But no matter! !!!VS080114_I19.inf found searching for text "ViewSonic VP930 Series". Good.

The file /boot/mfsroot.gz on the installation media needs to be unzipped to make PXE boot via tftp/nfs work. Otherwise the loader ultimately complains that it during my time running Linux was a really bad thing for FreeBSD (the usage of a /boot partition for booting only, to store the kernel, but nothing else).

Installation nightmares
A matter of taste only, but if I install another kernel and rerun old lilo.conf where no links are used I get the same boot configuration as before. This is probably a question a certain view of multibooting anything else. A matter of taste, no real harm either way. Arto> The generated lilo.config file was

So nothing but the command line after install - and no SCSI support. Finally, last night I installed Knoppix 3.3 11_03_BETA. It also failed to install the aha152x driver or detect my SCSI chain, nor did it detect my Syquest drive (I've submitted a bug report at Knopper.com). OTOH, Knoppix detected everything else

Reinstalling Windows 95 (CDRom Boot Disc complaining)
The accidental installation of aplayext might have nothing to do with it but was the last change I knew happened. Anyway trying to start setup Windows95 was same control panel or device error message. At this point I stopped not wanting to change anything else. [I think this is RegClean you are talking about.

This indicates that you have QoS bound to NICs but it's either not configured correctly, or has a performance counter issue. No L2TP calls will be accepted. This suggests that you enabled RAS/VPN and selected to include L2TP support, but didn't install certificates (most people don't use this method),

If you are in North America, this would be an excellent time to call MS for a free support call, or if nothing else than to request a new release code for that floppy.
